Experience

Shimpei Kawaguchi joined Bain Capital in 2018. He is a Vice President on the Asia Pacific Private Equity team.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Shimpei was an investment analyst at York Capital, focusing on event-driven investment in the Japanese equity market. Shimpei also worked in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) group.


Education

Shimpei received a BA in economics from McGill University.
